Preparing Image

CorelDRAW

1. Open CorelDRAW
2. “Get started” select new document
   1. File: New
   2. Name the document
3. Adjust Width and Height to fit desired image size (top left)
4. Upload Picture file
   1. It is best if picture is only two colors, or one color on a transparent background
   2. Color settings can be changed in CorelDRAW by playing with the Toolbar: Effects: Adjust and the Toolbar:Effects: Transform: Invert Colors
   3. Right click: Import: Select the file to upload or File: Import: Select the file to upload. (shortcut Ctrl+I)
   4. To switch between rotation and re-size, click on the image
5. Convert the picture to Bitmap
   1. Toolbar: Bitmaps: Convert to Bitmap
   2. Change “Color mode” to Black and White (1-bit)
6. Trace The Bitmap
   1. Toolbar: Trace Bitmap: Outline Trace: Line Art
   2. Select the image and press f12 to open the Outline Pen
   3. Adjust Width to “hairline” and “points”
   4. Select a color that will allow you to see over your file. Eg, select light blue or pink if your file is black. Click okay.
7. If you do not notice any color changes or lines around your image, undo the trace and/ or bitmap conversion
   1. Play with color settings can be changed in the Toolbar: Effects: Adjust and the Toolbar:Effects: Transform: Invert Colors to get cleaner edges for the bitmap
   2. Play with the difference Outline Trace: Line Art settings for tracing the bitmap
8. When you are satisfied with your image and trace, save the image and ready the printer

Preparing Printer

1. Turn on the printer
   1. Switch located bottom left of the printer.
2. Lift the lever located on right and slide in the vinyl
   1. You should hear the printer “turn on” when they vinyl is inserted and covering the sensor.
3. Adjust the wheels making sure they are under the white line markers and on each end of the vinyl.
   1. The wheels can only be moved from the back
   2. Moving from the front damages the wheel
4. Lower the lever
5. Hit the right arrow on the printer
   1. The printer will size the paper and take notes.
   2. Gently hold the vinyl as it is moved backwards and forwards
6. Use the arrows to individually adjust the “origin” of the needles
   1. The origin is the bottom-left most point in the image
   2. The origin can be moved for account for tears in the vinyl or cut sections of the vinyl

Printing Image

1. File: Print
2. Printer: Expert Pro-60
   1. Preferences (to the right of Expert Pro-60)
3. Two tabs Option and Paper
   1. Paper: make sure is roughly the size of vinyl, make sure Metric (mm)
   2. Option: Pen Speed: 45m/s (more delicate 39m/s, not suggested), Pen Force 30g (always)
   3. “Okay”
4. Layout Tab:
   1. Reposition images to: (drop down menu) Bottom Left corner
5. “Okay” will print
