Preparing Image

CorelDRAW

How to use Corel Draw, follow instructions and settings.

  1. Open CorelDRAW
  2. “Get started” select new document
  3. Adjust workplane width and hight
  4. Go to file and click on "Open"
    1. If that does not work please go to that image and right click and open with "Corel Photo-Piant X8"
    2. Copy image on there, then paste into the CorlDraw.
    3. It is best if picture is only one or two colors
  5. Convert the picture to Bitmap: Black and White (1-bit)
    1. Located at the top bar, click on "convert to Bitmap"
    2. Go to Color mode to change the color
  6. Trace The Bitmap
    1. Trace Bitmap is located at the last bar
    2. Click on image
    3. Then click on "Outline Trace" then go to Logo
    4. Go to color tap located on the right side
    5. Click on Edit and go t the Models Tap and pick Red as a color to be the outline.
  7. When you are satisfied with your image and trace, save the image and ready the printer

Preparing Printer

  1. Turn on the printer
    • The Switch is located on the bottom left orange side of the printer where the power plug is located.
  1. Lift the lever, it is located on right(behind of the printer) and slide in the vinyl paper.
    1. You should hear the printer “turn on” when they vinyl is inserted and covering the sensor.
  2. Adjust the wheels making sure they are under the white line markers and on each end of the vinyl paper.
    1. The wheels can only be moved from the back of the printer, to do so lift lever, then move wheels from behind (sliding motion).
    2. Warning moving from the front will damage the wheel
  1. Now Lower the lever
  2. Hit the Down arrow on the printer
    1. The printer will size the paper and take notes.
    2. Gently hold the vinyl from the back (NOT from the front) as it is moves backwards and forwards.
  3. Use the arrows (up, down, left, right) to individually adjust the “origin” of the needles. ( This allows you to be able too determined a particular spot you want to print)
    1. The origin is the bottom-left most point in the image
    2. The origin can be moved for account for tears in the vinyl or cut sections of the vinyl
  4. Lastly don't forget to plug the the cord to the computer. This way when you print it will inform the printer.


  • Vinyl Paper can be located on a rack located next to the Laser Etching, if you can't find it ask a staff member!

Printing Image

  1. File: Print
  2. Printer: Expert Pro-60
    1. Preferences (to the right of Expert Pro-60)
  3. Two tabs Option and Paper
    1. Paper: make sure is roughly the size of vinyl, make sure Metric (mm)
    2. Option: Pen Speed: 45m/s (more delicate 39m/s, not suggested), Pen Force 30g (always)
    3. “Okay”
  4. Layout Tab:
    1. Reposition images to: (drop down menu) Bottom Left corner
  5. “Okay” will print
